I have been able to upload video to my site on the audio/video admin page, but when I try to add it to the website page (front, family or stories) there is no "a/v" link or other link to add my file.

Any ideas?

The A/V icon is on your front page, family page, and stories page editor in your administration area. It is on the second row, the 5th icon from the right.

From there, click on the button that says "Select one of my media files". In the resulting pop-up window click the "Select File" button next to the audio or video file you want to put on your page.

I still can't find it. Where is the administration area? I push the "edit" link for front page (or stories, etc.) and it doesn't give me any icons as such. I just have a list of options, see below (all I have):

Front Page Options
Do not show number of times
page has been viewed
Do not show the number of
votes or allow voting
Reset number of views to 0
Reset number of votes to 0 Family Page Options

I see what happened. You are viewing the code behind your page (the <> button in your editor). This is a more advanced mode. To switch it back click on the link that says, "Click here to edit the HTML formatted page." That link will be at the top of the page if you are editing your front page.
