When Bessel van der Kolk – famed researcher and author of The New York Times best seller, The Body Keeps the Score – says that neurofeedback has the potential to help kids reshape their brains to be more regulated and more open to new experiences, one takes notice. After all, helping kids stay regulated is the first thing that we, as people who care about kids, need to do to ensure their success. Consequently, I was excited to talk with Dianne Kosto, the CEO and Founder of SYMMETRY Neuro-Pathway Training because she is a self-described “mom on a mission” to bring neurofeedback services to everyone. The story of Dianne’s passion, what neurofeedback did for her kid, and what it potentially can do for the kids in your life, are the topics of this episode. More information about Dianne and SYMMETRY Neuro-Pathway Training can be found below.
Biography of Dianne Kosto
Dianne Kosto, is the CEO and Founder of SYMMETRY Neuro-Pathway Training, which provides Neurofeedback services and systems to individuals, families, therapeutic programs and professionals across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
With the knowledge that Neurofeedback saved her son's life and restored hope for her family, Dianne is a Mom on a Mission to make Neurofeedback technology available to individuals and families so they can avoid the trauma her family experienced as a result of her son's brain dysregulation.
From an early age Dianne's son was kicked out of schools and programs. Dianne continually sought an environment that would help her son thrive. While physicians, psychologists, therapists, counselors, and education professionals gave her advice, no one told her about Neurofeedback.
For over 13 years Dianne has trained and provided clinical and technical support for programs and professionals who utilize Neurofeedback and SYMMETRY Neuro-Pathway Training systems and/or services. As an approved instructor for Bridgeport College’s CEC and Certificate Course, Dianne instructed Chiropractors in Advanced qEEG courses.
