Picky eaters are not born. They are created. For over 17 years, Katie Kimball has been helping families come to grips with this fact so that they can undo harmful patterns and establish food customs that promote health and wellbeing. It is a process she lays out in her new book, The Picky Eater Playbook. Katie and I discuss her work, the book, and steps you can take to help the picky eaters in your life. More information about Katie, including a link for preordering The Picky Eater Playbook, is below.

Biography of Katie Kimball

Katie Kimball, CSME, of Raising Healthy Families, is the national voice of healthy kids cooking - a writer, speaker, former teacher, and mom of 4 kids who founded #LifeSkillsNow virtual summer camps as well as the Kids Cook Real Food and Teens Cook Real Food eCourses. In 2020 the Wall Street Journal recommended KCRF as the best online cooking class for kids! Since 2009 her blog, Kitchen Stewardship, has been helping families stay healthy without going crazy. Today Katie is on a mission to connect families around healthy food and teach every child in America to cook! Her TEDx talk "Picky Eating Isn't About the Food" inspired a community support membership group for parents called The Picky Eating Playbook, or the P.E.P. Club for short, and now a book being published in Nov 2026 through Familius press.
