How family-focused interventions benefit everyone with Mike Loverde

Release date: November 9, 2026
Research indicates that family-centered approaches to addiction and mental health treatment are optimal but not optimized. That is to say, family-centered approaches afford the best outcomes, but they have not been universally adopted in guidelines, by treatment centers, or even by interventionists. My guest this episode, Mike Loverde, founded Family First Intervention to change this because he believes that a successful intervention does not end when an individual enters treatment, but when the whole family does. Mike and I discuss his approach and why families should not wait for their kid to “be ready” for treatment or “hit rock bottom.” More information about Mike and Family First Intervention is below.
